Keep your position ahead of your competition Within the last few years, the number of players in the US PV market has increased significantly, while at the same time, new business models and customer segments have emerged. Since the financial crisis, the US administration has implemented many new financial incentives to support the clean energy sector, including the PV industry. However, conditions for the development of the PV business largely depend on the highly diverse energy policies of the different states. Due to their attractive framework conditions, high renewable energy targets and favorable natural conditions, states such as Arizona, California, Colorado, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida and New York possess a high potential for the expansion of PV. Competition has visibly strengthened in most of these states. Against this background, the “US InstallerMonitor 2011” aims to analyze current developments in selected US state markets from the perspective of solar installers: This study will focus on the relationship between suppliers and purchasers, and analyze the procurement management of installers across the states mentioned above.
Comprehensive PV downstream analysis The research design is well established and has proven as highly successful: In the last four years, EuPD Research has conducted similar shared service projects analyzing the US, the German and other top European PV downstream markets. All of these studies were well received by customers. In the context of this research project, EuPD Research targets to interview over 350 solar installers active in the key US PV sales markets; aspects including Questions about their product portfolio, their sales and procurement channels as well as their perception of brands were of central interest. The result of this primary research project is a unique and comprehensive PV downstream analysis of the US market. The findings of the “US InstallerMonitor 2011” will help you understand the emerging US market, and help you recognize your position and your competitive advantages in order to develop and defend your market position.
