In principle photovoltaic modules are extremely robust products. People knew how to build a robust and reliable solar module twenty years ago. In the final analysis, our current modules still look very much like their predecessors. Also, the materials used have not fundamentally changed. Although a solar system represents a substantial investment for most interested parties, awareness of which products can be recommended is not widespread.
